Byron Bay train

Byron Bay Railroad Company Ltd, a not-for-profit accredited heritage rail organisation owned by the people behind Elements of Byron resort, has reinstated a train service between Sunrise Beach, just outside Elements of Byron Resort, the burgeoning North Beach precinct and Byron township. All costs of repairing and maintaining the track, refurbishing and operating the train are borne by Byron Bay Railroad Company Ltd. This 1949 heritage train has been converted to solar powered operation to become the world’s first solar train.
